Each player has a cooldown track. You will use it to keep track of when things, such as spent ability tokens and knocked-out characters, return to play after being removed.

At the end of each round, both players shift everything on their cooldown tracks down one number. Things that shift off the 1 return to play. Characters return to your starting area, ability tokens return to your ability token pool, and item cards return to the characters holding those items. This will be explained in more detail in other sections of instructions.

Funkoverse: overview

Funkoverse is a strategy board game that uses collectible miniature Funko Pop! figures as the player pieces. It's highly addictive, also.

The game is currently available in five themes: Harry Potter, DC Comics, Rick and Morty, Golden Girls and Jurassic Park. there are two versions for the topics: the basic version for 2-4 players and the expansion version for two players (can be played separately or played together withthe basic version).

On this blog, I will introduce the Harry Potter edition, both the basic version and the extension. The basic version contains four figures, namely Harry Potter, Hermione Granger, Belatrix Lestrang and Lord Voldemort. In the expansion we find the caracters of RonWeasley and Draco Malfoy.

In the Funkoverse Strategy Game, you combine your favorite characters and go head-to-head in four exciting game scenarios. Use your characters' unique abilities to gain points and achieve victory!

Each turn, you select one of your characters and perform two actions. Each character has access to basic actions like moving and challenges as well as several unique abilities that may be performed only by spending ability tokens. Funkoverse uses an innovative "cooldown" system — the more powerful the ability, the longer it will take for the ability token to become available again — so players have to spend their ability tokens wisely. Each character in Funkoverse is unique, so players are encouraged to try out different combinations of characters and items in order to discover their favorite synergies and powerful strategies for all four game scenarios.

What is Funko Pop!?

Funko Pop! is a line of small (about 4 inches tall) vinyl figures that portray some of the most popular characters ever created, such as Iron Man, Spider-Man, and Hulk. Their small size and cutesy designs make them great for collectors and casual fans alike.

Funko Pop! figures are instantly recognizable due to their super deformed design style, depicting characters with oversized heads and large eyes. Like the McDonalds arches or Apple's logo, you know a Funko Pop! figure when you see one.

With the rise of comic book movies and genre media, Funko's Pop! line has grown tremendously, with several hundred figures released over the last few years. The small figures are so popular that the Pop! line now includes figures that depict celebrities, artists, and pop stars.

Funko Pop! is everywhere

Whether you're a casual fan or live and breathe geek culture, there's a Funko Pop! figure for (almost) everything, from Marvel to DC to Rick and Morty. And if you can't find what you're looking for, new Funko Pop! figures are released all the time. Funko Pop! figures are hugely popular among collectors, and they've recently become a mainstream obsession, making them one of the hottest toys available right now.
